County Radio has launched!

Welcome to Prince Edward County’s brand new Internet radio station.

We encourage you to take a look around the website, and click on the big green button on the left to reach the County Radio player. You can then begin listening to our streaming audio programming.

If you’re not familiar with the term “Internet radio,” it seems that every time a major new audio distribution technology arrives, the word “radio” comes along for the ride.

Many of us now have satellite radio pre-installed in our vehicles. And these days, our computers, smart phones and personal listening devices allow us to listen to thousands of Internet radio stations all around the world.

What really matters though is that County Radio online will allow us to focus on Prince Edward County, while at the same time sharing a global connection with the world around us.

So please enjoy our eclectic music mix, while we begin to develop new and entertaining feature programs to add to our weekly schedule.

Here’s a preview of what’s to come—the first edition of Home Grown, hosted by Karin Desveaux. Home Grown will be heard at different times during the week, and also be available for personal listening or downloading as a weekly podcast. You can reach the first Home Grown podcast by clicking here.

Please tell us what you think of County Radio. Send us an email at countyradio@gmail.com. Or you can join us on Facebook and Twitter.

Happy listening!

Well here it is at last – and I’m loving the music mix! Will spread the word …

“Happened on” COUNTY RADIO while sourcing information for the next Relay-for-Life All nighter at the Memorial Centre. Pleasant nature. Will icon it for early mornings and dark, cold evenings, whenever I’m surfing. Well done Prince Edward. Once again, another reason to be proud of the only county visible in a good map of North America.
